Lonesome Sundown

Lonesome Sundown (Cornelius Green, December 12, 1928 – April 23, 1995) was an American swamp blues musician. In 1948, inspired by Muddy Waters and John Lee Hooker, he began taking guitar lessons from a cousin. Seven years later, he joined Clifton Chenier's band. Later, he began recording on his own, but his releases never made it to the charts. Over the years, enthusiasts elevated him to the top rank of swamp blues musicians - Penguin Guide to Blues Recordings.
