Big Jack Johnson

Big Jack Johnson passed away this March 14, 2011 in his hometown of Clarksdale, Mississippi.  Jack was a deep Delta Blues Performer, he played in a style not to different than that of Chicago Blues.  He had been playing guitar since he was 13 years old but first came to national and international attention as the guitarist of the legendary Jelly Roll Kings with Frank Frost and Sam Carr, recording for Chicago based Earwig Music.  He went on to record for M.C. Records, Rooster Blues, P-Vine Records and Fat Possom Records.  Jack was also the last survivors of the major players portrayed in the 1992 Robert Palmer/Dave Stewart/Robert Mugge movie Deep Blue.  Read more at WXRT.radio.com
